Comic Con is a huge opportunity for marketing. Our client knew that and wanted to use this platform to generate hype for the next NBA season. So we were tasked to come up with an interactive way to get the word out to guests at Comic Con.

Challenge: Encourage attendees to interact and share their content.
Solution: A fun, interactive experience that generates an easily shareable video that also announces the upcoming NBA season.
Tools: Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop.
Timeline: 2 weeks
The Experience:
Tip off against some of the NBA’s top players and have it captured and converted in a comic-style video that can be shared through social media.
The Journey:
- Guests wait in line for their turn to tip off against some of the NBA’s top players.
- When guests reach the front of the line, the staff member greets them and instructs them to step up to the jump pad that will measure their air time.
- Their goal is to be the at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the day to win exclusive Comic Con merch.
- Guests are then asked to chose who they’d like to tip off against by selecting the player on the touch screen in front of them.
- After the guest have made a selection, the screen counts down and prompts them to jump.
- After they’ve made their best efforts at jumping, they’ll be directed to the share station where they’ll interact with a tablet set to display the video that was just created for them to share.
